My mom works with kids with autism and disabilities. I absolutely LOVE them and their HUGE smiles. I gave a little girl my old Vans that didn't fit, and she came and gave me a huge hug. They are always sooo sweet and very intelligent. ❤️

My older brother is autistic, and we’ve been struggling on how he’s supposed to live his life as an adult. He just turned 20 in April, and my family will definitely check out this charity to help other people like him!

I love this. My older Brother who's turning 21 this Monday has autism and he's a lot like how your son is, Even with the routines. XD My brother will always ask what he should do next if there's no routine, sometimes he'll even get a little frustrated so my mom help and talks to him for a bit and then he calms down and Plays with his toys and will hang out with his rabbit.

Your son is a star! His smile is infectious and him sending letters to people with their favorite color and a personal message is just so incredibly touching and sweet. What a kind heart he has. I applaud and your wife for giving the world an insight into your lives with a special needs child, and for doing this fundraiser for other children, soon-to-be adults, on the spectrum. Thank you! My little brother has autism. And I really appreciate this video. It's nice to know that some people actually understand what autism is. Other than the fact it's a disability. But it's also what makes them even more unique. As for the charity I have never heard of the one you are doing but now that I do I will definitely look into it. My family and friends do Autism Speaks.

Here’s the thing: *Autism* is not the problem. Rather, if neurotypicals tried to understand *us* instead of deciding that we have something wrong with us because we communicate and see things differently, then we wouldn’t have as much of a problem. If they gave us the support that we actually need to succeed in their society instead of forcing us to be like them, then we would be okay. Some might say “but what about the low functioning people?” Or “what about the non-verbal people?” Well, believe it or not, they also have thoughts and feelings, they just don’t communicate in the same way as neurotypicals. In fact, many of the autistic people you may meet online are considered “low functioning” because they cannot speak. The entire “low functioning” thing comes from the fact that non-verbal people do not respond in the same way as speaking people, so their answers are considered “wrong.” Many Non-verbal & high support needs people also have the same opinion on this. They do not want a cure, and they enjoy being autistic. In conclusion, no “cure” is needed. We are not broken, and you cannot fix what is not broken. Instead of finding prevention methods, focus on supporting us. We are here.

I totally understand like I said both my boys are Autistic and I'm terrified to put them on the internet because people are not kind. Your son is so amazing I love that he writes people letters it's like he's inviting those people into his beautiful world.
